Pathfinders is a short but intensive internship program that provides New York City high school students interested in pursuing computer science careers a formative workplace experience. Launched in the fall of 2014 with a cohort of 20 students, Pathfinders has gone on to serve more than 200 students through Summer 2016.
Pathfinders takes a two-pronged approach;first it provides high school students with 20 hours of career-readiness training and second it matches students to organizations for at least 30 hours of on-the-job experience. Students who complete Pathfinders are provided a stipend through CS4ALL.
