Resources for Remote Computer Science Instruction

The NYCDOE’s Computer Science Education Team is working hard to support schools with the transition to remote learning. Below, we link resources for educators who have already been trained by CS4All, educators who have not yet taken part in CS4All programs, and families.

This page will be updated on an ongoing basis.

For current CS4All schools

These resources are meant to support schools that have been trained by the Computer Science for All initiative in SY 2019-20 to continue the implementation of computer science education in a remote learning environment.

Schools that are currently or have previously been a part of a CS4All program should bookmark our Support Dashboard to get a continually updated list of all of the resources we are creating to support you in your implementation. You can also find many resources in our Remote Learning Resources folder!

For schools not trained by CS4All

Not a CS4All school? The registration period for SY 2020-21 CS4All programs and support has been extended through June 2020, or until our capacity has been reached. All NYCDOE public and charter schools are invited to register for computer science training with CS4All, regardless of whether or not they have already started teaching computer science. If you are brand new to computer science education, but would like to use this time to try something new, we recommend you look at the grade band-appropriate document in the Remote Learning Resources folder!
