CS4All Registration Opens February 4!

CS4All Registration Opens February 4!

Start building capacity to teach CS at your school today to meet NYC’s goals of CS4All and align to New York State’s efforts to prioritize CS  education across the state. NYCDOE’s CS4All team provides nationally aligned CS curriculum and professional development (PD)!

All NYC public and charter schools are invited to register, regardless of whether or not they have already started teaching computer science. Schools will be prioritized to receive CS4All support based on student demographics (Black and Latinx students, economic needs index, students with disabilities, and English language learners) if there are not enough seats available for all registered teachers.

Registration should be completed by one person, in consultation with the school team. The CS education team will match schools to the curriculum and PD that best fits with the schools’ current CS offerings, teachers’ backgrounds and experience with CS, schools’ mission statement, and their vision for long-term integration of computer science education.

Registration Timeline

  • Review prep questions with the school team before registration opens
  • Registration opens on February 4, 2019
  • Informational video will be available on February 4, 2019.
  • Registration closes on March 22, 2019
  • Matches will be communicated by April 12, 2019

Supports, Resources and Curriculum

Selected schools will receive support over two years including paid, CTLE-eligible PD for teachers and administrators, curriculum, and all materials needed to teach computer science (excluding computers). All curriculum is aligned with NYCDOE’s Blueprint for CS Education (the Blueprint) and provide students with opportunities to explore CS concepts and practices as they develop computational perspectives. The current curriculum catalog is available on the Blueprint.
